A vintage resale shop that goes to great lengths for clothing nobody has seen in years, and restores it to like-new.
The process
01 · We met
Forgotten Essentials was one of our first clients, referred by a family friend. We reached out to the owner to learn the brand and how they work. They hunt down clothing that hasn't been seen in years, or that usually costs a fortune, and clean it up until it's practically new. Sometimes that means lifting a decal off with heat and transferring it back on, exactly as it was.
02 · The brief
Most of their selling happens at in-person events, so they wanted an online catalogue. They came with a clear reference for the look. We designed close to it: a pastel tan background and very little animation. Nothing over the top, matched to the package they chose.
03 · Build
The build took three to four weeks. The developer we had at the time fell behind, so our founder stepped in and finished it personally to keep the client. We spent a lot of nights on Discord with the owner, previewing the site live and making edits while they watched.
04 · Since launch
Since launch, Forgotten Essentials has mostly run on its own. We check in now and then and watch their Shopify sales, which keep climbing. Forgotten Essentials will always have a special place for us. If you're reading this: whenever you're ready for an upgrade, it's yours at a big discount.
